This scenery is based on Shuttle Radar Topography MIssion (SRTM) data. In February 2000 a radar interferometry device installed in Space Shuttle Endeavour obtained elevation data on a near global scale to generate the most complete high resolution digital topographic database on Earth. We used this data topped off with other high quality databases to conceive this most complete scenery product for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
